How we can help
Urban areas
In urban areas, property owners are responsible for maintaining and mowing their roadside frontages.
Rural areas
In rural areas, we mow to improve visibility at intersections and where sight distances are limited. Contractors mow verges next to Council reserves to enhance visibility.
Spraying
We have an annual weed spray program. If the property owner maintains the frontage, we spray a 200mm strip along the road seal edge; otherwise, the strip is 2m.
Spraying of rural sealed roads occurs in September to October, January to February, and April to May.
Unsealed roads are sprayed at the same times, except January to February. These schedules adjust based on growth and weather conditions.
If you prefer no weed sprays on your frontage, contact us to arrange an agreement to maintain it yourself.
